While waiting to see the circus flea
I fed to the horse with a horn
my striped bucket of popped corn
Candied apples stuck on figertips
while I watched acrobatic flips
the painted clowns danced around for hours
running around with their squirting flowers
one stopped and offered a tissue box
filled to the top with old white socks
I giggled at this display of pageantry
as the rest climbed a tiny tree
they jumped into a bucket of water
which fell over with such a clatter
I wished to ride the carousal
and sit on the horse with the parousal
then run to the fat lady's side
before going down the gigantic slide
I would wait for days
